Developmental Disabilities Services
For both parents and educational organizations, Access Point is here to help each child who needs us. We work in a one-on-one setting to remove outside influences and improve behaviors. Once behaviors are adjusted, we work with kids in homes and schools.
Habilitative Intervention
Habilitative Intervention is based upon the principles of evidence-based treatment (EBT). Habilitative Intervention services are provided to improve a child's functional skills and minimize problem behavior.
Services include individual or group behavioral interventions and skill development activities. Habilitative Intervention may be provided in the child's home or in the community.
Habilitative Supports
Habilitative Supports provide assistance to a child with disability facilitating the child's independence and interests, practice skills learned in other therapeutic environments, and learn through interactions in typical community activities.
Family Training Services
Family training is professional one-on-one instruction to families to help better meet the needs of the child receiving intervention services. Family Training is limited to training in the implementaion of intervention techniques as outlined in the plan of service, and must be provided to the child's parent or legal guardian when the child is present.
Respite
Respite provides supervision to the child on a short term basis. Respite is also available in response to a family emergency or crisis, or may be used on a regular basis to provide relief to the primary caregiver.
